A Front Garden With No Secure Space for Bikes, Redesigned in Islington

You do not own a car. Every journey runs on two wheels. But the front garden of your Islington terrace had never been designed with that in mind. A shallow plot, barely 0.9 metres deep behind the front wall, with two utility meter cabinets taking up what little space existed. We built a bespoke store to the exact depth available, enclosing the meter cabinets within the structure and holding up to three bikes securely behind the existing wall. From the street, it is invisible. The planted roof is the only suggestion that something considered is happening behind it.
