If your Atlanticbike shed is fitted with a sedum green roof, you’ll be pleased to know it’s incredibly low-maintenance. Sedum is a drought-tolerant succulent that thrives in full sun and harsh conditions — ideal for London’s changing weather. That said, there are a few simple things you can do to help it flourish.

Watering

• In warmer months, water the roof once a week.
• During a heatwave, increase this to every 2–3 days, ideally in the evening.
• If the sedum turns red, there’s no need for concern — this is a natural response to heat stress and will return to green as temperatures cool.

Seasonal Care

• We recommend a light weeding in spring and autumn to remove any unwanted growth.
• Clear away fallen leaves and check that drainage outlets remain unblocked.

Optional Fertiliser

Ongoing Monitoring

Every 3–5 Years
