Front Garden Side Extension with Integrated Bike and Bin Storage in London

This project is set on a busy road in Stoke Newington, where the front garden offers a generous depth of around four metres between the house and the boundary wall. The client needed secure storage for cargo bikes, family bikes and bins, without filling the space or making the frontage feel heavy.

Rather than placing separate elements in the garden, we used the full length of this zone, wrapping a continuous structure around the bay window and running it between the house and the front wall. This allowed us to accommodate everything in one clear, controlled store.

Finished in olive grey with a planted roof, the structure opens fully through a pair of folding doors, making access easy even for larger bikes. Despite its capacity, it remains quiet from the street, providing a secure, understated solution suited to a busy setting.

What an impressive, yet subtle front garden redesign
