We believe that sustainability isn’t just a choice—it’s a lifestyle. To you and your home, this means more than just a green roof or a clever storage solution. It’s transforming your everyday life by reshaping your space to be greener, more functional, and uniquely yours. One of our recent projects perfectly illustrates the values we bring to your doorstep: innovation, practicality, and sustainable design tailored to your needs.
A Space Reimagined
Our customer was frustrated with the daily hassle of taking their bikes through the house to store them in the rear garden. They also struggled with finding space to keep three large bins, a food caddy, and recycling boxes neatly organised in the front garden. On top of that, they wanted to create a green space for their own planting—a place that could bring some life and personal touch to their outdoor area.
Our customer's challenge was solving these everyday annoyances while making her front garden functional and inviting, in keeping with the property's pristine white façade and elegant architecture. With our bespoke product range, we were able to offer an optimal solution.
Designing for Functionality
Optimising the space’s layout is key to the project’s success. Our architectural team designed a shed that seamlessly accommodates bicycles, bins, and recycling boxes.
But we didn’t stop there. Recognising the homeowner’s need for easy access, we integrated:
- Sliding doors towards the street for straightforward bike and bin access
- Hinged doors facing the house for convenience
- A removable shelf tucked in the bay window area designed for recycling boxes access
This thoughtful design ensures that every space element can be used efficiently without compromising style or practicality.
Green on Top
One of the project’s standout features is the continuous green roof that replaced 70% of the previously concreted front garden. This sustainability feature addition enhances the property’s visual appeal and contributes to local biodiversity. It also helps combat urban heat, improve air quality, and reduce flooding risk by increasing water retention.
Navigating the Process
Our team's experience in architecture, metal fabrication and landscape design is the basis for delivering a bespoke solution. In this customer's case, we managed the full process, including:
- Drafting the shed’s design and specifications for our homeowner’s approval
- Preparing all documentation and submitting for planning approval
- Liaising with the local council to secure planning approval
- Manufacturing and fitting in our family workshop
- Groundwork preparation works (removal of the existing front garden wall, a new solid base for the shed, finishing works)
- Delivery and installation with our team of approved installers
Most of our projects for elegant British homes involve preparing the front garden—removing existing structures, constructing a new solid base or retouching the existing ones, removing weeds, you name it. As part of our landscaping service, our groundworks team prepared the site in advance by removing the existing front garden wall, relaying the existing slabs, and removing weeds.
The result? A smooth, stress-free experience for the homeowner, with no need to liaise with a third party. The project was delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards.
Customisation and Precision
From designing a built-in slot for easy access to the house’s internet modems to crafting a shed that fits snugly around the bay window and entrance pillar, this project was a testament to our commitment to precision and personalisation. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the finished product met and exceeded expectations.

Aesthetic Harmony
The final touch was to ensure the shed’s appearance harmonised with the property’s elegant white façade. With its high-durability hardwood cladding and beautifully finished matt white powder-coated structure, the result is a design that integrates effortlessly into its surroundings while standing out as a beacon of modern, sustainable living.
Transform Your Space Too
70% of this front garden is now covered with plants, on top of a storage for four bicycles, three large bins, a few recycling boxes and a food caddy.
Your front garden is an opportunity to bring your vision to life, whether it’s a greener, more biodiverse space or an innovative design with security and practicality at its core. With the right expertise and guidance, you can transform your outdoor area into something that truly reflects your values and aspirations.
